Think of the POWER of the Word of God!
“In the beginning was the WORD, and the WORD was with God, and the WORD was God. The same was in the beginning with God. ALL THINGS were made by HIM; and without HIM was not anything made that was made. In HIM was life, and the life was the light of men.” John 1:1-4
The WORD was a person! Not a printed page, not the daily newspaper, not a fashion magazine and not a novel, but a real, live being Who became one of us when He was born of the virgin Mary more than two thousand years ago!
God the WORD spoke in the beginning, “Let there be light . . . ”
God the WORD spoke in the beginning, “Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters . . . ”
God the WORD spoke in the beginning, “Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place . . . ”
God the WORD spoke in the beginning, “Let the dry land appear . . . ”
God the WORD spoke in the beginning, “Let the earth bring forth grass, herb yielding seed, the fruit tree . . . ”
God the WORD spoke in the beginning, “Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven . . . ”
God the WORD spoke in the beginning, “Let the waters bring forth abundantly (whales, sea creatures, fowl) . . . ”
And God the WORD blessed them saying, “Be fruitful and multiply and fill the waters in the seas, and let fowl multiply in the earth.”
God the WORD spoke in the beginning, “Let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind, cattle, and creeping thing, and beast . . . ”
God the WORD spoke in the beginning, “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness . . . ” So God created man in His own image, in the image of God created He him, male and female created He them.
And God the WORD blessed them, and God said unto them, “Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth.”
Four thousand years passed, and “The WORD was made flesh (a human being like you, like I) and dwelt among us, (and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) FULL of grace and truth.”

The WORD of God is still buzzing around. He is touching the lives of people like you around the world. He’ll make something sweet out of your soured life; He’ll turn your water into wine; He’ll make your darkness light; He’ll make your crooked paths straight, because He is the same yesterday, today and forever. HE never changes!
